About Klipova

A simple, private way to save videos, audio and photos from the web

What Klipova does

Klipova is a free web tool for saving media from the sites people use every day — YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X, Reddit, Pinterest, Vimeo, Dailymotion and VK. You paste a link, choose a format and quality, and your browser downloads the file. There is no account, no app to install and no watermark added by us.

How it works

When you paste a link, our server reads the public page the same way a browser would and lists the files that page offers: video in different resolutions, audio, or photos. Most downloads then come directly from the platform's own servers to your browser.

Some sites keep the picture and the sound of high-quality videos in separate streams, and a few only deliver files to the address that requested them. In those cases our server joins the streams or passes the file through while you download — the data is streamed straight to you and never saved on our side. The same streaming approach is used to convert audio to MP3.

Our principles

  • No download history. We don't keep a list of what you download, and links are not stored together with IP addresses. Technical logs contain only anonymised fingerprints of links.
  • No files stored. Downloaded media is not saved on our servers.
  • Public content only. The website works with content anyone can see without signing in. We never ask for your social media password or cookies.
  • Copy protection is respected. Content protected with DRM, such as purchased films, is never downloaded.
  • No tracking cookies. The site keeps only small preferences — such as your theme or a closed notice — in your own browser, and never sends them to us.

Your responsibility

Klipova is a tool. Download only content you own or have permission to use — your own uploads, Creative Commons material or content whose licence allows it. Each platform's terms of service and copyright law apply to what you save and share.

Klipova is an independent service and is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook or any other site mentioned here. All trademarks belong to their owners.
