Save videos from X in a few seconds

X (formerly Twitter) lets you watch and share videos but not save them. Klipova downloads the video file of a public post in the qualities X provides, usually from a small mobile-friendly version up to 720p or 1080p. The result is a normal MP4 you can keep, edit or watch offline.

Videos, GIFs and photos

  • Videos with sound, in every resolution X offers.
  • GIFs saved as small looping MP4 files.
  • Photos in their original size.
  • Mixed posts with several items — one card per video or photo.

Any link format

Links from twitter.com, x.com and mobile.twitter.com, links with /photo/1 or /video/1 at the end, and links copied from the share menu all work. Tracking parameters are removed automatically.

X (Twitter) download questions

Can I download GIFs from X?

Yes. X stores GIFs as short silent videos, so they are saved as MP4 files that loop in most players. They are smaller and sharper than real GIF files.

What about posts with several videos or photos?

Every video and photo in the post appears as its own card. Use Download all to save them one after another.

Are photos saved in full size?

Yes. Photos are downloaded at the original size X stores, not the smaller preview shown in the timeline.

Why can't I download a post?

Posts from protected accounts, deleted posts and posts that require signing in can't be downloaded with the website.

Do I need an X account?

No. Klipova works without signing in to X, and we never ask for your login.

Can I repost videos I downloaded from X?

Only your own videos or ones you have permission to use. Copyright law and X's rules apply to reposts.
