Klipova

MP4 converter

Turn any video file into an MP4 that plays everywhere

Your file is deleted from our server within an hour. We never share or keep your videos.

One format for every device

Videos come in many containers: MOV from iPhones and cameras, MKV from screen recorders and downloads, WEBM from the web, AVI and WMV from older software. They don't all play everywhere. MP4 with H.264 video and AAC audio is the format that does — on phones, TVs, game consoles, editors and every major website.

Fast when possible, careful when needed

If your video already uses H.264, Klipova simply moves it into an MP4 container without touching the picture. That's lossless and takes seconds. Other videos are re-encoded with settings tuned for good quality at a sensible size.

Free, with the options that matter

  • Resolution: keep the original or reduce it to 1080p, 720p, 480p or 360p — videos are never upscaled.
  • Quality: High for archiving and editing, Balanced for everyday use, Small file for sharing and messaging.
  • Fast start: files are prepared so they start playing immediately when streamed or shared online.

Tips

  • To send a video in a messaging app, choose 720p and Small file.
  • To edit a video, keep the original resolution and High quality.
  • Phone videos in HEVC (H.265) are converted to H.264 for maximum compatibility.

MP4 converter questions

Why convert a video to MP4?

MP4 with H.264 video and AAC sound plays on virtually every phone, computer, TV and website. Other formats such as MKV, WEBM or WMV often need extra software or don't upload to some platforms.

Will converting reduce the quality?

If your video already uses H.264 and you keep the original resolution, we copy the streams into an MP4 without re-encoding, so nothing is lost and it takes seconds. Otherwise the video is re-encoded; the High setting keeps it visually very close to the original.

How long does conversion take?

Usually a fraction of the video's length. Copying into MP4 is almost instant; re-encoding a 10-minute 1080p video typically takes a few minutes. You can follow the progress bar.

What's the largest file I can convert?

Up to 500 MB and 3 hours of video. For bigger files, lower the resolution in your editor first or split the video.

What happens to my file?

It's used only for your conversion. The original is deleted as soon as conversion finishes, and the converted file is deleted from our server within an hour.

Can I convert videos on my phone?

Yes. The converter works in mobile browsers on Android and iPhone; choose a video from your gallery or files.
