What is KlipovaBot?

KlipovaBot is the name our service uses when it needs to read the public preview of a page. You may see it in your server logs with this user agent:

Mozilla/5.0 (compatible; KlipovaBot/1.0; +https://klipova.com/bot)

When does it visit?

Only when a person pastes a link to a page into Klipova and that page can't be read in the usual way. KlipovaBot then requests that single page once to read its title and preview image, the same information link previews in messaging apps use.

What it doesn't do

• It does not crawl: it never follows links or discovers new pages on its own.
• It does not sign in, submit forms or try to bypass access controls.
• It does not pretend to be another company's crawler.
• It only reads publicly accessible pages.
