How to download videos to your iPhone

Save videos from YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook and X with Safari — no app required

By · Updated October 9, 2026

You don't need a special app to save videos on an iPhone. Safari has had a built-in download manager since iOS 13, and Klipova works inside it. The process is the same for YouTube, Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, X and the other supported sites.

Step 1: Copy the link of the video

Open the video in its app and look for the share button:

  • YouTube: tap Share → Copy link.
  • Instagram: tap the paper-plane icon → Copy link.
  • TikTok: tap Share → Copy link.
  • Facebook and X: tap Share → Copy link.

Step 2: Open Klipova in Safari and paste

Open Safari, go to klipova.com and tap the box at the top. Tap Paste. Klipova starts looking for the video immediately and shows the available qualities.

Step 3: Download

Choose a quality and tap Download. Safari asks whether you want to download the file — tap Download again. A small arrow appears next to the address bar; tap it to see the progress.

Step 4: Move the video to Photos

  1. Open the Files app and go to Downloads.
  2. Tap the video to open it.
  3. Tap the share button and choose Save Video.

The video is now in your Photos library, ready to watch offline, edit or share.

Tips

  • If a high-quality option shows no file size, it is being prepared while you download — wait until Safari shows the download as finished.
  • To save only the sound, choose an option from the Audio only group or MP3.
  • Private accounts and copy-protected videos can't be downloaded. Only save videos you have the right to use.

iPhone download questions

Where are downloaded videos saved on iPhone?

Safari saves them in the Files app, in the Downloads folder (On My iPhone or iCloud Drive, depending on your Safari settings). From there you can move them to the Photos app.

Why don't I see the video in my Photos app?

Safari downloads go to Files first. Open the video in Files, tap the share button and choose Save Video to copy it to Photos.

Does this work in Chrome on iPhone?

Yes. Chrome on iPhone also saves downloads to the Files app, in a folder named Chrome. The steps for moving the video to Photos are the same.

Do I need to install an app or a profile?

No. Everything happens in the browser. Be careful with apps or configuration profiles that promise downloads — you don't need them for this.
