WebM, everywhere
WEBM files come from browsers, screen recorders and downloads from the web. They play fine in Chrome or Firefox but often fail on iPhones, in video editors and when uploading to social networks. Converting to MP4 with H.264 video and AAC audio gives you a file those places accept.
Quality settings
- High: best for editing and archiving; files are larger.
- Balanced: a good mix of quality and size for everyday use.
- Small file: ideal for messaging and quick sharing.
Combine them with a lower resolution — 1080p, 720p, 480p or 360p — when you need an even smaller file. Videos are never upscaled.
Tip
Recording your screen in the browser often produces WebM. Convert it to MP4 before adding it to a presentation or sending it to a colleague.
